MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a woman after that happened in the 1000 block of Radio Drive.

Authorities say the incident was reported just before  6:30 a.m. 

Deputies say someone called about a person down. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a woman in bed with a gunshot wound to her head. 

Authorities say the woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The woman’s 11-year-old son found her unresponsive in her bed. 

This incident is still under investigation.
