23,000 marijuana plants found in Monroe County
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Multiple law enforcement agencies discovered 23,000 marijuana plants on a plot of land off of Flint Road in Monroe County during a special operation conducted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Governors Task Force.
According to the DEA, the plants have a street value of over $100 million.
Narcotic Investigators from the Bibb County Sheriffs Office, Butts County Sheriffs Office, Lamar County Sheriffs Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia State Patrol, Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Governors Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration assisted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
No arrests have been made at this time.
