Crazy Bull needs your help with getting items to Hurricane Harvey victims
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – You can help Hurricane Harvey victims if you stop by the Crazy bull this week.
The bar is accepting donations of items like bottled water, canned food, dry pet food, pillows, and anything else that you think can help victims.
Rick Hill, owner of Crazy Bull, said he understands how the victims in Texas feel because he was in Macon when Tropical Storm Alberto hit.
“I was here in 1994 when we got hit and you know, I couldn’t leave my house for you know, two weeks, because of the water and everything, so I understand what they’re going through,” Hill said.
He said says it was important to him to help victims in Texas.
“This is not just a one weekend or two weekend thing, this is gonna be something that’s gonna affect the fourth largest city in this country for quite some time,” Hill said.
So anyone who wants to help can drop off items to the business this week from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. until Saturday.
“We’ll come out to the car and get whatever you’ve got and we’ll store everything in our downstairs locations,” Hill said.
Hill’s friend Kyle Smith reached out to Hill about the idea of donating items.
He said Smith and his friends got with the 2016 Cajun Navy to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The navy is a volunteer organization that got together after Hurricane Katrina. The group brings supplies to flooded areas.
“He has actually left and they’re actually in Louisiana. They left yesterday with two boats and a truck and they are heading to Humble, Texas,” he said.
Hill said it’s all about giving victims hope.
“I mean just to be able to help in whatever capacity that we can, you know that’s what we’re trying to do.”
And Hill needs your help to give the Texas community hope that things will get better soon.
Capital cycle in Macon and Micro Technology Consultants in Warner Robins will also accept donations this week. You can drop off items from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
