21st Anniversary of Juneteenth Continues in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom. It is Macon’s oldest running African-American community based family festival, which started in 1993. It is also known as the oldest nationally recognized African-American holiday in the country.

The Real Talk Hip Hop Summit of Youth Awareness and Responsibility is Friday, June 14. It will be held at the Douglass Theatre and starts at 10A.M. The Women’s Appreciation and Empowerment workshop will begin at 4P.M. at Freedom Park.
