2024 C.H.A.M.P.S. Graduation held at Hawkins Arena

The 2024 C.H.A.M.P.S. Graduation was held at Mercer University's Hawkins Arena Thursday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 2024 C.H.A.M.P.S. Graduation was held at Mercer University’s Hawkins Arena Thursday.

According to a news release C.H.A.M.P.S. (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety) is a program founded in 2003 by the Georgia Sheriff’s Association. The program lasts 12 weeks and is taught by Bibb County Deputy Sheriffs who provide education for a variety of things to prepare students for a successful life.

Before the ceremony, officers walked around exciting all the students in the stands and Bibb County Sheriff David Davis shook hands with various students.
