2015 Secrets & Stilettos Relationship Conference focus on teen dating violence and domestic abuse

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Do you know if you are in an unhealthy relationship? How about your son or daughter? Are your children witnessing abuse in the home?

Those are a few of the questions national television personality Judge Glenda Hatchett asked more than 500 people Saturday.

Hatchett was the keynote speaker for the 2015 Secrets and Stiletto’s Relationship Conference.

Some Middle Georgia teenagers competed in Mercer University Men’s Basketball Graduate Asistant Kevin Canevari’s dance contest at the during the conference.

Parents and their teens were at the Anderson Conference Center to find out how to detect signs of domestic abuse and teen dating violence.

“This is just going to be hands on and that’s why I talked today about the fact that you know somebody in this situation and you are not, you don’t want to get involved,” said Judge Hatchett. “You think it’s not my business. It is your business.”

The conference was hosted by the Macon Regional Office of Georgia Legal Services Program.
