2011 Georgia National Fair: 3rd Best Attendance in History

After 11 days of fried food, carnival rides, and musical guests the 22nd Georgia National Fair came to an end.

This year’s fair broke several records. It had the Best First Friday attendance and the Best First Saturday Attendance. Overall, the 2011 fair was the 3rd best in its history.

Despite rainy weather 439,931 people from across the state and country attended the fair.

That’s a 5% decrease in attendance from last year.

Director of Public Relations, Michele Treptow, says “That’s the beauty and the best of the weather. It can work with you, which it did on both weekends, and then we had the ‘beasty’ party mid-week.”
