Car accident ties up traffic in downtown Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  A nasty car accident took place Thursday evening at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Poplar Street in the heart of downtown Macon.
A woman driving a minivan slammed into the back of a work truck. Macon-Bibb firefighters had to cut the vehicle open to get her out. A little girl in the mini van seemed to be okay. There is no word on the drivers condition. She was alert when paramedics loaded her into the ambulance.
