18-year-old Milledgeville murder suspect now behind bars

According to police, the tip led them to the Riverbend Apartments where 18-year-old Derquavious Kier was at.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A murder suspect is now in custody, after the Milledgeville Police Department says it received a tip.

According to police, the tip led them to the Riverbend Apartments where 18-year-old Derquavious Kier was at.

After further investigation, law enforcement determined which apartment unit Kier was staying in and found him hiding in a closet under a pile of clothes.

Four other people in the apartment at the time were also taken into custody. They’re charged with Harboring a Fugitive.

Police say warrants are pending on four others after further investigation.

Kier was wanted in connection to a murder in November on Anthony Way, where a 16-year-old was found dead.
