16-year-old in custody for Jones County shooting

JONES COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Jones County teenager is in custody after a shooting over the weekend.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a shooting in the Kingsview Circle area Saturday night. That’s where they found victim, who had been shot in buttocks.
The victim told deputies he was shot by someone he knew. Investigators later identified the shooter as a 16-year-old from the Sun Valley Drive area.
The juvenile is being detained at the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
