12th Annual Mother and Daughter Tea to raise funds for free mammogram screenings

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Sisters of Pearl E. Evans Chapter No. 464 is hosting its 12th annual Mother and Daughter Tea to support free mammogram screenings for women in the community.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at noon at the Porter Ellis Community Center, located at 5987 Houston Road in Macon.
This year’s theme is “Women with a Praise and Testimony,” inspired by Isaiah 40:31.
Tickets are $30 per person and may be purchased through members of the Pearl E. Evans Chapter No. 464 or at the event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Breast Center’s mobile unit, which provides mammogram services to women in the community.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their Sunday best, including hats, fascinators, gloves, pearls and matching tennis shoes. A professional photographer will be on site.
