11-Year Old Injured in Macon House Fire
Firefighters respond to a house fire that leaves one child injured.
Units were on the scene of a fire that took place at 1310 Brentwood Avenue around 7 o’clock this morning.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Cliff Rushin, the fire began in a first floor bedroom and it appears the cause was electrical in nature, most likely from an outlet next to the bed.
An eleven-year old child was burned on the foot and four family members were taken to the hospital.
The fire is still under investigation.
