1 man dead, suspect charged with involuntary Manslaughter

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 24-year old man has died after sustaining a gunshot wound in the head.

According to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department, just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning police responded to a call on the 100 block of Franklin Square about shots fired.

Reports say the victim sustained a single gunshot would to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested 23-year old Austin James and charged him with involuntary Manslaughter and Reckless Conduct. Detectives say the two men knew each other and were playing with the gun during the incident.

Investigators say alcohol may have played a contributing factor.
