MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man was arrested Thursday morning in connection to three separate homicide investigations.
Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Kaylen Devon Johnson at Majestic Garden Apartments at 2560 Rocky Creek Road.
Johnson is charged in the December 16 shooting death of Danny Thomas Causey near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Poplar Street in downtown Macon. Terry Warren, who was also shot, was taken to the hospital and has been released.
Johnson is also charged in two west Macon homicides.
Deputies serving a welfare check in the 2000 block of Vining Circle on April 14 found 75-year-old Ann Kathleen Leonard lying in her kitchen with a gunshot wound to the left side of her chest. Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene.
About 15 hours earlier, deputies responded to a report of a person shot on Mason Street between Anthony Road and Carroll Street. 44-year-old Marlon Jermaine Williams was found lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson is being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He faces charges of murder (three counts), participating in street gang activity, influencing witness, failure to appear (felony), probation violation (felony) and entering auto.
Another man, 23-year-old Devantae Lundy, was arrested April 20 on unrelated warrants and charged with two counts of felony murder and armed robbery in the deaths of Leonard and Williams.
Lundy is also being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
