Campus police records show Twiggs County High School principal Tapuw Makaya watched camera footage from the high school gym. That video from September 4th showed Banks and a juvenile having “inappropriate contact with each other.” Makaya reported the incident to campus police on September 5th. Campus police turned the case over to the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office on September 6th.

School District Police Chief Earl Waller told the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, “the instructor had kissed the student in the hallway outside the gym of the school,” according to a Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

According to the campus police incident report, Twiggs County Middle School principal Dr. Linda Ramsey reported the incident to Makaya.

41NBC spoke with Twiggs County Superintendent Dr. Dixon earlier this week about the incident, he says Banks is no longer a part of the staff. He has since declined for further comment.

We checked and Banks is also employed with the Bibb County School District.  He was hired in October of 2016.  Banks was placed on administrative leave with pay on September 7th after Twiggs County School contacted Bibb County.
