It has been another hot week across Middle Georgia, and expect that to continue. Storm chances will be increasing as we head through the weekend and into next week.
This weekend we will see the 90’s continue as more humidity is pumped into the area. Not much is expected in the way of changes to the forecast over the weekend.
Storm chances become more widespread as we head into Sunday and then those high storm chances will likely continue into next week.
The heat and humidity continue through next week. Heat index values will once again be close to the upper 90’s. The heat and humidity will likely lead to more storm chances through the week. All of this is contingent on the current forecast for the next potential tropical system headed to the US.
All eyes right now are mainly on the forecast for Tropical Storm Florence. Florence is expected to intensify to a major hurricane once again by the middle of next week. While forecasts for the storm are fluid, expect the possibility that an east coast landfall could occur. Definitely something to keep an eye on headed into next week.
