After a beautiful day across Middle GA today, attention turns to the rain and storms that will be moving in by tomorrow. Rain will likely start sometime after midnight and continue off and on throughout much of Wednesday.
11AM-3PM As of right now the strongest of the storms look like they will be moving in along the cold front. Expect very gusty winds and heavy rain along the front.
2PM-7PM Light rain will linger behind the front, with some breezy conditions sticking around through the early evening
Severe Weather: Severe storms will be possible in Middle Georgia, mainly along the cold front. The main threat will be gusty winds, but heavy rains and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, so make sure you are weather aware Wednesday as these storms roll through.
Rain totals are expected to be in the range of 0.5″-1″ here in our area, but still expect some visibility issues if you are driving as these storms roll into the area.
Be sure to have multiple ways to get warnings, such as the 41 First Alert weather app, following 41NBC and Meteorologist Cecilia Reeves on Facebook and twitter (@wxcecil), and a weather radio. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the forecast tonight and into tomorrow.
Have a great evening,
Chief Meteorologist Cecilia Reeves
