Bibb deputies arrest robbery suspect and looking for a second


MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb deputies have arrested a woman they say was involved in the robbery of a man at the S&A Grocery on Rocky Creek Road. The second suspect is on the loose. The robbery happened October 27th around 9:30 PM.

The 23 year-old male victim was backing his car into the parking lot when he struck a gold Mercury Marquis. When he got out to talk to the driver of the car he hit, the man in the vehicle started a verbal altercation.

From there they got into a physical altercation, where the male suspect and a black female suspect with him attacked the victim. The male suspect took the keys to the victim’s car, his wallet from his pants pocket, and they both fled the scene.

The male suspect that attacked the victim and took his keys and wallet was identified as 24 year-old Carey Darnell Watts Jr. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Watts. He’s 5’4” and weighs 130 lbs.

Authorities say he has a tattoo on the right side of his neck of the word “savage.”

Investigators picked up 28 year-old Saultavia Smith–the female suspect–on Friday November 3rd. After being taken in for questioning, Smith was charged with robbery, entering auto, battery and cruelty to children because her 3 year-old daughter was present in her vehicle during the incident.
Her bond is set at $14,450.00.
