Restaurant Report Card: Cuban Island Cafe


BONAIRE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you’re looking for a spot with authentic Cuban food, there’s a place in Bonaire that has been cooking it up for years!

Cuban Island Cafe is under new ownership, but that hasn’t stopped it from serving great food and racking up perfect health inspection scores.

“We love what we do, we care for our customers,” Martha Uvalle, the restaurant’s owner said.

Uvalle has a knack for food, and its definitely on display at Cuban Island Cafe.

“I’m from Mexico, I grew up in Orlando, Florida and I love the people, I love the food,” Uvalle said. “I love to know from other people what they like what they eat, and we all have one thing in common we like to be happy and we like to eat.”

And to get featured on 41NBC’s Restaurant Report Card, you’ve got to have a perfect health inspection score!

“We care for the restaurant and we care for the customers to provide a safe and clean environment and it’s work we do every single day to provide that and we love what we do, we care for our customers,” Uvalle said.
