PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For more than 10 years, a restaurant in Perry is priding itself on getting good food to its customers – fast.
Since 2006, Yoder’s Sandwich Shoppe has been serving up more than 20 different sandwiches in a clean environment.
“We love making sandwiches and good food and we enjoy serving our people,” Linda Yoder said.
And in a family owned business, Yoder’s wants to make customers feel like a part of its family – greeting people with a smile every time they enter.
“We try to be friendly and greet people as much as we can,” Yoder said.
We’ll get back to Yoder’s but first, let’s take a look at your scores this week:
Back To Edenz on Vineville Ave – 89
Joe Bear’s & Sons BBQ on Napier Ave – 93
Joy’s Home Cooking on Riverside Pkwy – 84
Piedmont Kitchen & Brewery on Third St – 81
Bigos Bistro on Watson Blvd – 94
Chicken Salad Chick on Watson Blvd – 96
Cloverleaf Restaurant on Central Dr – 90
KFC on Veterans Blvd – 90
Pickle Barrel Cafe & Sports Pub on W Clinton St – 90
And here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week: Little India on Cherry St. scored a 75. There was a container of lighter fluid on a shelf next to a rolling pin and macaroni noodles in the fridge without a cover.
The thing that takes the longest isn’t waiting on your food at Yoder’s; it’s trying to decide what you want.
“We have clubs, Rubens, roast beef sandwiches, pimento cheese homemade, chicken salad homemade,” Yoder said. “I think it’s 26 different sandwiches we have. We like to be as quick as we can.”
The Cuban sandwich with Yoder’s special sauce is one of the best in Middle Georgia, and the homemade cakes are up there at the top as well.
Yoder’s Sandwich Shoppe in Perry is making the grade this week.
