GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A restaurant owner in downtown Gray is using her family’s love of racing and a perfect health inspection score to sell some pizza.
Just looking on the walls and seeing the likes of Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty, you can just feel the fun inside Chevy’s Pizza.
“My family’s always been into the whole racing thing,” Owner, Chevy Turner said. “When I was younger, my favorite was Jeff Gordon.”
People say pizza and pasta is comfort food and that’s what Chevy’s is all about. Goof for kids, students, adults and families.
We’re a family restaurant,” Turner said. “Pizza, pasta, salad, subs, and we just added wings to our menu.

Chevy grew up in the restaurant business – she says she learned from the best.
“I always wanted to do this, open up my own restaurant and I couldn’t have done it without my parents, they’ve helped me out a lot but here I am,” Turner said.
And as she lives her dreams, she’s having fun in a new location on W. Clinton Street.
“You get your same crowd, you get your different people that’s passing through and just interacting with them, learning their stories and where they’ve been and how they heard about us, it’s just interesting,” Turner said.
And the reason 41NBC stopped by, was for the perfect health inspection score.
“If you got time to lean, you got time to clean,” Turner said. “Just follow the standards, we keep everything labeled. We just keep everything clean that’s all we do; clean and cook, clean and cook.”
