MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Santa Claus made an early visit Saturday to more than 100 children at the Motivating Youth Foundation on Main Street.

Saint Nick’s visit was sponsored by the Law Office of Forrest B. Johnson & Associates. Johnson made a special challenge to the students.

"I’m gonna give you five dollars for every A, I don’t care how many folks are in this classroom," Johnson said to the room filled with 122 children.

Johnson brought Santa to deliver nearly 800 toys to children of the foundation. He and his staff of elves gave out candy and had a small reception for the children and their parents.

"It’s our way of blessing under privileged children,” says Johnson. “[They] do not have an opportunity to participate in Christmas fully. So, this is why we’re doing this. We want to make sure that we bring a smile to every child’s face."

Motivating Youth Foundation Inc. Executive Director Roger Jackson admits he cried when he heard about all of the Christmas gifts Johnson was giving away.

"It’s a tremendous relief for me and my staff to be able to be on the receiving end for our kids here at Motivating Youth,” says Jackson. “Because they’ve worked so hard during the school year, and the summer to get to this point where they can be rewarded."

Johnson says the Christmas Toy Giveaway will be an annual event. He wants to double the number of toys he gives away next year.
