The Manager for Digital Georgia Program, Bill Price, said some Georgia cities, like those in Middle Georgia, have the resources they need. However, it’s harder to make connections in a smaller area.

"When you get further away from the bigger cities you have less abundance. Which is why an event like this is really important because it helps people find each other. It helps people find the rare resources that are there," explained Price.

Georgia Technology Authority Officials said companies like Verizon, Cox, and Windstream have invested billions of dollars in Georgia over the last ten years.

They want to make sure Georgia stays competitive in the field of technology to keep bringing in these type of investments.
