That’s because Affordable Learning Georgia awarded grants to Middle Georgia State to give the college affordable textbook alternatives, according to Middle Georgia State Officials.
Affordable Learning Georgia is an initiative of the University System of Georgia to promote student success by providing cost effective textbook alternatives.
Middle Georgia State Officials said the grants total about 21-thousand dollars. That money will allow four faculty members to attend training provided by Affordable Learning Georgia.
During training, these teachers will learn how to modify their curriculum as well as how to research and locate free resources to use instead of traditional textbooks that must be purchased, according to a news release from Middle Georgia State College.
The four teachers are from the School of Education and the Department of History and Political Science.
