UPDATE: The Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for Monroe County has expired.

Previous Story: The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following counties until 10:00 PM: Monroe.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of thunderstorm which could pack winds in excess of 58 mph and hail greater than an inch in diameter.
