Good morning to you, Middle Georgia!
It's February 3rd and we can say that all month long we've been in the 70s!
On Wednesday February 1 we made it to 72 degrees, and yesterday February 2 we made it to 74 degrees. Spring anyone?
This trend of very early Spring-like temperatures will continue into today. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies, with highs in the upper 60s.
You'll need to hang on to your hat today though! Winds will be from the east around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
If you've got plans this evening you'll need to have your rain gear handy. Although it won't be a washout, isolated showers are possible. Lows this evening will cool to the low 50s.
So, what about the weekend?
Showers are possible throughout your whole weekend, but just like Friday evening, don't expect a washout!
Any precipitation that we see will be spotty in nature, but unfortunately the clouds will stick with us Saturday and Sunday.
Highs this weekend remain in the upper 60s, so in between rain showers, I say get outside and enjoy this first weekend of February...or Spring-ruary, considering the temperatures.
Overnight lows will be in the 50s on Saturday evening and a slight chance of showers is in the forecast so if you have overnight plans on Saturday, have your rain gear handy.
The same goes for Sunday evening, but lows will be just a few degrees cooler and in the upper 40s.
Have a safe and wonderful weekend!
(Don't forget, it's SUPER BOWL weekend! You can catch the big game right here on 41 NBC at 6:30 on Sunday evening. Coverage starts at noon on Sunday so I say break out the bean dip a little bit early and tune it to 41 NBC for an entire day of Super Bowl fun! Then you'll want to keep it right here after the game for the news at 11 PM!)
