Meteorologist Michael Estimé has been a proud Middle Georgian and member of the 41 NBC Forecast Team since January 2009. He is best known for his energetic and personable forecasts during 41 NBC News Daybreak, which you can catch weekday mornings from 6am – 7am.
Michael has earned the trust of Middle Georgians through his comprehensive coverage of severe weather. Your safety before, during, and after the storm is his number one priority. Rain or shine, day or night, Michael's passion for the weather, commitment to our community, and optimistic outlook are qualities that you can count on.
As a student at Central Michigan University, Michael was a 5-year work-study scholar at WWJTV [CBS Detroit] through the Emma L. Bowen Foundation, a national organization which prepares minority youth for careers in the media industry. Upon graduation, he was honored with the foundation's “Outstanding Student of the Year” award in 2009.
Before joining 41 NBC, Michael worked at City Cable 15, EDTV16, News Central 34, and also spent time at The Weather Channel in Atlanta.
Michael is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. In his spare time, Michael enjoys volunteering in the community, playing the clarinet, and spending time with his family [including his identical twin brother] and friends.
