Fog Tonight...Showers & Storms Friday

Expect areas of dense fog to develop tonight with overnight lows in the mid 40s. Into your Friday morning, we'll start off with areas of fog and cloud cover. By that point, some of us could be dogging some rain drops as well. Your Friday afternoon should feature not only showers, but also the chance for strong to severe storms.

More Rain for the Next Couple of Days

A very slow moving upper-low will bring in more distubances, which means more rain and storms for us.  Some storms may be severe.  While we are expecting alot of rain with this upper-low, temperatures won't cool down much, so we're looking at  highs in the 60s to near 70 through the end of the week as the rain moves out.  Saturday we'll see some clearing with more sunshine expected by Sunday.  Highs through the weekend will be in the 60s.  For next week, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s.

Umbrellas, rain boots and maybe a poncho is what you'll need to keep dry this morning. You'll notice intermittent showers this afternoon with highs today in the low 60s. If you drive a motorcycle, I'd suggest keeping it in the garage today; however, the second half of your weekend looks better! Your evening should feature continuing showers and possibly thunderstorms overnight tonight into your Thursday morning. Expect overnight lows in the low 50s.

Here Comes More Rain

A very large upper-level low is stalling over the Plains right now, which means rain is at hand for Middle Georgia.  Showers will be popping up across the area tonight and really for the next few days.  Not only are we expecting rain Wednesday and Thursday, but some of it could be heavy or severe.  Showers could linger into Friday as well, with clouds lingering through the weekend.  Look for partly sunny skies to return Monday and Tuesday.  Temperatures each day will hold steady in the 60s to mid 70s for highs.

If you're heading out this morning, grab your rain gear. Though you may notice a lull in activity though your morning and early afternoon, we're thinking that another round of moisture should move in by mid-afternoon. Your drive home could feature a shower/sleet mix with a possible flurries overnight. Little to no accumulation is expected in Middle Georgia. The bulk of the snowfall should remain up to our north. Temps today will be nearly 20 degrees below normal. We are only projecting temperatures today in the low 40s.
