Veterans High Awarded Grant

The Georgia Council of Teachers of English (GCTE) sponsored a teacher mini-grant competition to support innovative classroom practices and Ike Thompson, a Veterans High English teacher, applied. Thanks to his efforts Veterans High will recieve a GCTE Mini-Grant for $500 in January.
Teachers may use the grant to buy classroom supplies or software, to attend a workshop or take a college class, to finance a student field trip, etc., as long as it directly impacts students.
At the completion of the activity, Thompson will send a final report summerizing the grant project. The projects will be presented to the GCTE members at the annual conference of be featured i the organizations newsletter.
