MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Consumers are being urged to check their vehicles and household items after a series of major recalls involving cars, baby bottles, space heaters, and popular food products.

Baby Wipes Pulled from Target Shelves Over Bacterial Contamination

Target has issued a recall for its Up & Up fragrance-free and cucumber-scented baby wipes due to possible bacterial contamination. The FDA discovered bacteria that could cause serious and even life-threatening infections in young children. The recall covers wipes with expiration dates between May and November 2028. Target has received complaints about discoloration, eye and skin irritation, and some infections. Consumers should stop using the wipes and return them to Target for a full refund.

 

Walmart Baby Bottles Recalled for Choking Hazard

About 40,000 Boon NURSH eight-ounce reusable baby bottles, sold in a three-pack with a pink tie-dye design, are being recalled due to a potential choking hazard. The outer plastic shell can peel or break apart, creating loose pieces that pose a risk to babies. There have been 135 reports of the shell bubbling or peeling, but no injuries. The bottles were sold exclusively at Walmart and online from November 2023 through last month. Stop using them and contact TOMY for a store credit or replacement.

 

Champion Foods Recalls Frozen Cheese Bread for Salmonella Risk

Champion Foods is recalling some batches of Motor City Pizza Company Five Cheese Bread, both single and two-packs, due to a risk of salmonella from contaminated milk powder. No illnesses have been reported, and the recall affects products sold nationwide at retailers like Costco, Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Publix.

 

Chicken Sausage Links Sold at Costco Recalled Over Mislabeling

Jones Dairy Farm is recalling some chicken sausage links after a production error mixed in a small number of pork links. The affected packages have a use-by date of April 29, 2027. This is not a food safety issue, but customers can return the product to Costco for a full refund.

 

Gas-X Extra Strength Soft Gels Recalled Over Contamination Concerns

Select Gas-X Extra Strength soft gels are being voluntarily recalled after the FDA found some packages may have been contaminated with coolant from a machine leak during packaging. No illnesses or injuries have been reported, and other Gas-X varieties are not affected. 

 

Space Heaters Recalled After Fire Reports

Roughly 255,000 Vornado Small Room Tower Heaters are being recalled for a fire hazard. The fan blade can detach, causing the heater to overheat and melt internal parts—resulting in more than 30 overheating reports and eight fires. Owners are urged to stop using the heater and check the CPSC website for recall details.

 

Wyze Labs Recalls Security Cameras for Fire, Burn Risk

Wyze Labs is recalling over 300,000 Solar Cam Pan wireless security cameras because a flaw in assembly instructions could lead to punctured lithium-ion batteries and possible fire. The cameras were sold from October 2025 through April 2026, and recalled batteries need special disposal. More information is on the CPSC website.

 

Subaru Recalls Nearly 70,000 Vehicles for Moonroof Defect

Subaru is recalling almost 70,000 Forester and Forester Hybrid models from 2020 to 2026 because the moonroof may not have been installed correctly. Over time, the glass could detach while driving and potentially cause an accident. There have been three reports of the moonroof panel coming off, but no injuries or crashes so far. Subaru will notify affected owners by the end of July, and dealers will inspect and repair the moonroof for free if needed.

 

More Than 400,000 Ford SUVs Recalled for Seat Belt Issue

Ford is also recalling over 400,000 Expeditions (2018–2022) and Lincoln Navigators due to a safety issue with seat belts that may lock up and fail to retract or extend. This could increase the risk of injury during a crash. Dealers will fix the problem at no cost to the owner.
