DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Strengthening the community is the goal of the Young Gamechangers program. This year, the group focused on Dublin and Laurens County. Howard Franklin with Georgia Forward stopped by 41 Today to tell us about the program.
Thirty-five of the state's most promising young leaders started meeting back in January with the goal of revisioning Dublin and Laurens County as a vibrant 21st century community. The group explored different ideas that will help make the community thrive.
The Young Gamechangers met with key stakeholders, learned about the history of the area, explored the neighborhoods, and visited businesses and organizations.
The Young Gamechangers are presenting their final recommendations on Friday, June 20 at 2 p.m. at Theater Dublin.
