Temperatures are going down, and rainfall chances are low for the 4th of July!
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- Temperatures are going down, and rainfall chances are low for the 4th of July! After today, temperatures will drop to the low 90s the next few days, with overnight lows in the 60s, giving you cooler mornings to enjoy.  Dry weather continues with a couple storms definitely possible this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.  Just know that the storms will not be widespread, but as you folks in Johnson and Washington Counties found out yesterday, sometimes you can still get storms while the rest of the area enjoys drier conditions.  On the other hand, the storms yesterday cooled the temperatures, so that's good news!

Hurricane Arthur is our first hurricane of the season, and it's expected to stay well off the coast of Georgia.  Overnight, it'll make landfall, or at least come close to it, in North Carolina.  Afterward, it'll speed up its movement to the north and will be out of our hair in the lower 48.

If you're going to enjoy any fireworks tonight and tomorrow, the rain chances should mostly taper off in the evening, so go out and enjoy your Independence Day plans!
