Weather Forecast for April 14th, 2014

Weather Forecast for April 14th, 2014
We will be kept busy today and tomorrow with a couple pieces of news:

1. Moisture moving into the area from the south.
2. Our next cold front sweeping through Middle Georgia.

Number 1 moves through the area this afternoon.  It doesn't look like a washout, but there looks to be a decent amount of showers moving from south to north today.  The highest instability is this evening, so it looks like we'll avoid widespread severe weather this afternoon.

Number 2 moves through overnight and tomorrow morning/early afternoon.  There looks to be a good amount of rain from this round of moisture -- up to an inch, in some places maybe even 1 1/2 to 2 inches -- and I see a decent chance for storms as instability will be higher than normal overnight.  As far as severe weather goes, I can see an isolated severe thunderstorm from this, but widespread severe weather isn't in the forecast for now.  It wouldn't surprise me if the National Weather Service issues severe thunderstorm watches, but even if they do, I think it would be more precautionary as, again, I don't see widespread storms from this as of now.  We will definitely update you if our information changes.
