MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- Candidate for Macon-Bibb Commission District 4, Beverly Olson, got a big endorsement Wednesday afternoon from her former opponent.
Theron Ussery, who fell short in that race, is now backing the Macon city council woman.
He feels Olson works well with others, doesn't have a hidden agenda, and won't be a disruptive force on the commission.
"She meets the criteria I want in an elected official. She is a team player, and I trust her to make the right decisions and do the right thing," said Ussery.
Olson was thankful for the support. She feels she can bring an innovative perspective to the new government.
"I love to look at new things and to provide new ideas for things, the way we can accomplish things together," said Olson.
Olson faces opposition from Mallory Jones in the October 15th runoff. Early voting begins Saturday, October 5th.
