WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Two Warner Robins High School football players are heading west to Kansas to play college ball.
Defensive lineman Keon Seabrooks will play at Garden City Community College. His teammate, offensive and defensive lineman Jermaine Abron, is joining him.
Both boys are nervous to move so far away from home, but are glad they will have each other for support.
"It's just a good experience to play with him. He's a good player and we're just going to go down there and produce and be mentally focused on and off the field and education," Seabrooks said.
"College is like a job, that's what my step-father explained to me," Abron said. "You go to work everyday, you get your business done, you clock out, so when I go up there I'll be giving 100% and give it all I got."
Coach Brian Way adds, he is proud of his players and their hard work.
"They have a great opportunity to further their playing career, more importantly to further their education," Way said.
Seabrooks hopes to go to Oklahoma after he graduates. Abron says he plans to "dominate" when he steps out onto the field.
