RAFB to welcome new complex commander

Robins Air Force Base will welcome the new commander of its largest unit Monday.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Robins Air Force Base will welcome the new commander of its largest unit Monday.

Brig. Gen. Walter Lindsley will take the reigns of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex during a ceremony at the Museum of Aviation's Century Flight Hangar at 2 p.m.

Lindsley is currently the director of staff at Air Force Materiel Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

According to the base, Lindsley will lead more than 7,700 personnel who perform depot-level maintenance and repairs on and develop software and commodities for a variety of Air Force equipment and weapons systems.

Lindsley is taking over the job from Brig. Gen. Cedric George. George is going to the Pentagon to serve as the director of system integration in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations, and Mission Support.
