The red, white and blue will be on full display Sunday night in Perry.
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - The red, white and blue will be on full display Sunday night in Perry.

The city's Independence Parade and Fireworks Celebration features floats, live music and fireworks.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. on Washington Street.

Perry Mayor Jimmy Faircloth says it gives residents a chance to pay tribute to our veterans.

"All of the military personnel, the department of defense employees--everybody that has a hand in protecting this country. This is one of the opportunities we get to celebrate our nation's not only safety, but freedom."

The event kicks off an entire week of patriotic activities in Middle Georgia.

Events in Centerville and Warner Robins will also take place next week.
