Perdue and Black discuss the future of agriculture

David Perdue joined Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black to help kick off Black's volunteer campaign.
FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - David Perdue and Gary Black discussed the importance of Georgia's farming and agricultural communities on Saturday at Lane Southern Orchards.

Perdue announced his desire to serve on the US Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, if elected.

"I'm going to go to war trying to help solve this debt crisis. My suggestion, and it's been that way for the past year, is that, I think we've got to get serious about cutting spending and growing the economy," said Perdue about his plans if elected to office.

Perdue and Black also helped unveil a new design for 7 acres at Lane Southern Orchards.
