Peake hoping to return to Atlanta for 5th term

State Representative Allen Peake is hoping to return to Atlanta in January for his 5th term in office.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- State Representative Allen Peake may have years of experience under the gold dome, but he still considers himself a business owner, not a politician.

In a sit-down interview with 41NBC, Peake said he uses his customer service background to make sure his constituents are satisfied with the job he does.

Peake, admits, he wasn't sure he was going to run for re-election in 2014, until he began the fight to legalize medical marijuana for kids with seizure disorders.

While that bill died at the end of the session, Peake said the fight is not over and he'll bring it back up in the state house if re-elected.

Locally speaking, Peake said if he's back up in Atlanta in January he foresees more tweaks to the Macon-Bibb consolidation bill.

He also mentioned the other portion of his district, Monroe County is considering following in Macon-Bibb's footsteps, and merging governments.
