Pactiv Plant re-opens after a severe fire one year ago

Mayor Robert Reichert was on hand as the plant celebrated its grand re-opening.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - The Pactiv Plant located at the Airport Industrial Park celebrated its grand re-opening today, a year after it was nearly destroyed by a severe fire.

Mayor Robert Reichert was on hand to help commemorate the re-opening of the facility, which sits near the Macon Regional Airport, thanking Pactiv officials for deciding to keep the plant in the area.

Pactiv's CEO John McGrath complimented Macon's workforce and the Macon-Bibb Fire Department.

Pactiv is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of food service disposables and food packaging, and the Macon plant produces millions of egg cartons each year.
