One person dead in Warner Robins car accident

A Warner Robins woman is dead after the car she was riding in collides with a tree.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A woman has died after a car she was riding in collided with a tree just before 8 p.m. Wednesday in Houston County.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Buick LeSabre was being driven by the deceased's 20-year-old granddaughter, who lost control of the vehicle as it was heading eastbound on Kingsbury Circle near the 200 block.

The grandmother, 64-year-old Doris Allen of Warner Robins, was taken to the Houston County Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, from Nicholasville, Kentucky, was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where she is listed in serious condition.

The incident is still being investigated, and no charges have been filed at this time. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Warner Robins Police Department's Traffic Division at 478-293-1048.
