New online resource provides information on Georgia Power lakes

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Looking to spend the summer outdoors, maybe go camping or fishing? Georgia Power recently launched a new website that can help you learn more about the recreation facilities located all across the state. Cheryl Wheeler from Lake Jackson stopped by 41 Today to share the details.

Visitors can check out the new online resource for information on the company's lake properties throughout Georgia. According to a news release, Georgia Power is the largest non-governmental provider of recreation facilities in the state. It provides recreational opportunities year round for the public.

The online resource provides information about facilities, amenities, local attractions, water safety, as well as check current lake conditions and virtually explore camp sites. Visitors can also check out an interactive fish guide for every lake.

There are two Georgia Power lakes in Middle Georgia: Lake Jackson and Lake Juliette.

The new website also shares water safety tips.
