MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - Georgia's high school football champions have all been crowned,
but there's still at least one more chance for the seniors to impress college scouts.
Saturday in Macon, the third annual East/West All-star game, put on by the Georgia Sports Alliance, will be held at the Ed Defore Sports Complex on Heath Road.
45 players from middle Georgia teams made the rosters this year, including 10 from Bibb County. Players from Macon and Warner Robins are on the West team. In the game's first two years, the East team has come out on top.
"The head coach from Shaw (in Columbus) has been keeping it in our head that we haven't won the game yet," says Davion Jackson from Northeast High School. "We're trying to make history Saturday at 1."
"We've got a great mix of kids from Columbus all the way up here to Macon and Warner Robins," says Kyle Adkins, head coach of the West team. "The kids have meshed really, really well, which is really hard to do a lot of times with teenagers, because their egos get in the way. I haven't had one problem with that."
Kickoff is Saturday afternoon at 1 at the Ed Defore Sports Complex.
