MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Looking for a way to cool off on Thursday? Why not enjoy a Dairy Queen Blizzard and help The Children's Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia at the same time. Kathy Tolbert stopped by Daybreak to tell us about Miracle Treat Day.
The money raised during Miracle Treat Day will go to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. That is a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada, including The Children's Hospital at MCCG.
Tolbert says at least $1 per Blizzard purchased on Thursday, August 14th will go toward the processed raised nationwide on Miracle Treat Day.
According to MCCG, last year the restaurant raised almost $5 million for Children's Miracle Network hospitals and since 1984, it has raised more than $100 million.
You can participate in Miracle Treat Day at any Dairy Queen location in Central Georgia.
