Middle Georgia Players Make Commitment to College Teams

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Northeast High School players made the big commitment on Signing Day 2014.

Khalil West currently plays wide receiver for Northeast. He signed with St. Augustine University.

His teammate, Deveon Anderson, is making the move to Charleston Southern University.

At First Presbyterian Day School, one lucky player had the opportunity to sign with the school of his dreams.

Caleb Samuel is headed about seven hours north to be a Tar Heel. The offensive lineman signed with the University of North Carolina.

Veterans High School in Houston County had a couple of its players make the jump to college sports.

Defensive lineman Cortez Broughton made a late switch from Middle Tennessee State Universityto Cincinnati in order to follow what he believes is a "better opportunity."

Tight-end Chris Watts decided to sign with the University of West Georgia.
