GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested, after he was caught with heroin and methamphetamine, during a traffic stop in Gordon, Wednesday.
Phillip Sryock, 24, of Gordon is charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. He is also charged with possession of drug related objects.
Gordon police investigator, Andy Hester pulled over the driver a 2007 Chevrolet truck for running a stop sign, at the intersection of Solomon Street and Georgia Spur 18. Sryock was a front seat passenger in the truck.
“Sryock became nervous and I asked if he had anything in his pockets,” said Hester in the police report.
He told the officer what he had in his pockets was “bad.”
Police found the heroin and searched the truck, where they found glass meth smoking pipe and a red pouch with a strap along with a cotton swabs and a needle.
“Due to my knowledge, training, and experience these items are used to smoke meth and inject a variety of street drugs,” said Hester.
Sryock claimed all of the “contraband” found in the truck was his.
