MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon POPs is getting ready for its second season. Artistic Director Matt Catingub stopped by Daybreak to make the big announcement about the group's upcoming performances.
Macon POPs will kick off the season with Dancing Through the Decades, Part II on September 6 at the Macon City Auditorium. It will feature popular music from each decade from the 40's to today.
On November 1, the group will perform Classically Jazz and will debut a concerto, Three Shades of Blue.
Macon POPs will perform Celebrating the Music of Macon on February 28. It will feature music from artists from and with ties to Macon, along with special guest, including Flocco Torres, the Redding Brothers, and a couple of big surprises.
Co-founder Steve Moretti will also be featured in Clint Eastwood's upcoming film, “Jersey Boys.” The film premieres on June 20.
