Macon Mayhem to unveil logo Wednesday

Macon-Bibb mayor Robert Reichert and the team's owners will unveil the team's logo Wednesday.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) - A week after Macon-Bibb Commissioners approved a lease agreement for a hockey team to move into the Macon Centreplex, the Augusta team is ready to make its move official.

Macon-Bibb Mayor Robert Reichert, along with the team's owners, Bob and Dianne Kerzner, and general manager Mark Richards will unveil the Macon Mayhem's official logo at a ceremony Wednesday at the Macon Marriott City Center Hotel.  The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom.

Hockey fans are invited to attend.

The RiverHawks were forced to sit out the 2013 season after the cooling system inside their arena stopped working.  The Mayhem will take the RiverHawks' place in the Southern Professional Hockey League starting in the fall of 2015.
