MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon -Bibb County Fire investigators are on the look-out for an arsonist. Two Macon apartments went up in flames around 2 a.m., Friday.

Now, a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for setting the fires.

Macon-Bibb County Fire Sgt. Ben Gleaton. said when firefighters arrived at the Crystal Lake Apartments on Chambers Road two units were completely engulfed in flames.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.

But, Gleaton said the property damage is extensive.

Investigators are not saying how the fire started, but do believe an arsonist is responsible for the blaze.

"The totality of circumstances being that it was vacant, no utilities and the fact you had two separate fires in two separate locations,” said Gleaton. “That's pretty much a given that's not an accident."
