Local church group collects donations after organization calls for help

Harvest Church members take food donations for a Macon non-profit after they saw an post on Facebook for community help.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A non-profit organization needs your help in stocking its empty shelves in order to fee the hungry.

Macon Outreach organization posted a request for the community to get involved in helping it to feed hundreds of middle Georgians.

That post caught the attention of several Harvest Church members who decided to set up a donation center in front of the Aldi grocery store in Warner Robins.

Event Coordinator Maison Davis says the group plans to fill three trucks with more than 800 pounds of food for Macon Outreach.

If you would like to donate non-perishable food items to benefit the organization, Davis asks you stop by the Aldi grocery at 3003 Watson Blvd. in Warner Robins, or drop items off at the Macon Outreach at Mulberry at 267 1st Street in Macon.
